After a lovely breakfast, we decided to have look around the grounds of the hotel. We were in search of waterfalls. Of course Fernando joked that we should say hi to George the Lion if we see him. Which freaked out most of the kids.
I thought it was a lovely walk. We didn't see any kind of animal. Just beautiful plants. One child was on the point of hysteria so we didn't linger. But it was sure amazing to walk through the Atlantic Coast Rainforest.
We packed up for the beach. We tried to find one that was a more natural beach with trees and such and after driving the curvy coastal road for about an hour we gave up and went to the busy beach. It gave the twins a good nap in the car and the rest of the kids enjoyed listening to eBooks.
We loved the busy beach. The waves were awesome for body surfing. Jamison and the older kids were having the time of their lives. On one wave a Brazilian kid asked Jamison if he was a professional? Awesome. It was only his second day!
We had another meal at Mcdonalds (sorry) and headed home early since we were all so tired.
Before we got in the room I made Jamison go first and make sure there were no bugs. The night before there was a massive cockroach that looked 3 inches long! After Jamison killed it he said it was only 1 1/2 inches. but I couldn't sleep thinking of what else made it's way into our room. It was a very clean place, but you can't help it in a rainforest.
