Saturday Aquarium Trip

 The car is all packed (did I ever tell you how amazing Jamison is?)  I took the kids souvenir shopping.  Grace got a key chain earlier with Jamison who also bought an awesome frog musical instrument.  Abby got a butterfly bracelet, Miles, and adventure bag, and Felix a rainbow beach ball.  Oliver wanted a soccer ball but couldn't find one that he was satisfied with.  It was an adventure in itself including me having to say, "Don't touch their windchimes with your stick."

 We stopped in Ubatuba.  We had lunch at the Rei de Camarao, (King of Shrimp) which is another adventure since only one of us even eats sea food.  But Jamison was sure to check the menu for suitable menu items for our family before we sat down.  Then we went to the aquarium (which we have driven past many times, but stopped for the first time.)

The aquarium was cool.  We saw feeding time with two alligators, rock fish, jelly fish, penguins, sharks, rays.  Oliver and I were super adventurous and actually touched the star fish and sea urchins in the touch and feel pool.  We could have fed the penguins too, which Grace really wanted to do, but not has much as she really didn't want to have to touch a fish (guess who needs to go fishing, folks!)  Then we had an arduous time in the gift shop in which we could only afford 2 things, but Oliver had to ask 3-5 times on all the other things we couldn't get.  But we ended up with a cool pin to add to his Jr. Ranger badges from the National Parks.

We all enjoyed some gelato, then back in the car for a little movie and the rest of the way home.

For "Probably-Our-Last-Trip-In-Brazil" it was pretty great!
